Rejoice Christians! President Obama is Soon Behind Us.

The days of President Barrack Obama are dwindling down to their end. In two and a half weeks, he will be handing over the leadership of our country and saying farewell to the White House. As a Christian, I am thrilled that this man will never take his place in front of a podium with the title “President of the United States” again, and, as your brother in Christ I hope you will rejoice with me when President Obama once again becomes Mr. Obama.

During the President’s terms in office, it is the God-given responsibility of Christians to pray for him at all times and support him when we can (1 Pet. 2:13-17, Rom 13:1, 1 Tim. 2:1-2). I truly hope you prayed and are still praying for the President and his administration. He is in an incredibly stressful position that requires him to lead 300 million people 24-7. I also hope you supported our President when you could. Even if you did not like him or his views, as an American and a Christian you need to support your leaders when they make decision that 1) do not go against God and His Word, 2) strictly follow our Constitution, and 3) put America's safety first.

Unfortunately, it was very rare when President Obama made a decision or signed an executive order which followed all three of those things. That is why I am thankful to live in a country that limits the time in which a President can remain in power. By advocating abortion and legalizing homosexuality, President Obama exhibited through his eight years in the White House that he does not respect God and His Word, nor does he desire to heed the Constitution of our country when he ignores the very principles put place in the law. It may have been important to him to keep America safe, but continuing to deny the very name of our biggest enemy revealed that our safety was not his top priority. In fact, it seemed President Obama was constantly doing the exact opposite of what Christians should support.

So let us rejoice that this man will never step foot into the shoes of the presidency again. Let us celebrate the fact that this man, who disgustingly supported the mass genocide of the unborn, will never be able to pass another law that discriminates against the value of life. Be happy, Christian, that President Obama will no longer be able to encourage his people to sin by promoting laws which allow homosexuality and transgenderism. Under the liberal and often sinful ideology of President Obama, our nation has slipped into a downward spiral of defiance against our Creator.

A nation mimics its leaders, and while our next President is not someone we want to imitate, the end of the Obama administration’s denial of God gives us hope that the people of our nation will begin to realize their sin and return to their God. So rejoice with me Christian as we put President Obama’s reign of unrighteousness behind us, and look forward with abundant hope and constant supplication that America will once again put their trust in Christ alone.
