I am Endorsing Trump...and Here's Why.

This may come as a big surprise to many of you who know me. Just weeks ago, I was as anti-Trump as they come, I even enjoyed listening to liberal politicians like Hillary Clinton and President Obama slam the New York real estate mogul. I posted videos and articles on Facebook of the President and other politicians attacking Mr. Trump and his dedicated supporters. I despised Trump and spoke out against him any chance I got.
But then I began to realize a very disturbing plan by the Republican Party. A plan to stop Donald Trump at all costs. It was when Mitt Romney, the former Presidential candidate who lost in the 2012 general election to Barrack Obama, gave a speech that attacked his own Party’s front runner, when I started to see the corruptness of the Republican elites and career politicians. I was expecting the former Governor to endorse Sen. Cruz, but in his speech Romney completely focused on mocking Trump. I was disturbed…really disturbed. However, the disastrous Romney speech didn’t disturb me enough to stop my parade of anti-Trump rhetoric. I even signed my name on an online petition to stop Trump (I didn’t understand how signing my name on a petition could stop a Presidential candidate, but I did it anyway).
Not until now have my eyes been fully opened to see that the Republican Party’s plan is real and they’re looking for any way possible to stop Trump from getting the nomination. Instead of getting behind the man whom the Republican people clearly want, the Party is ignoring the voice of the American people, ignoring Democracy, and ignoring the principles that our founding fathers built this nation upon. The GOP doesn’t care if Trump has the clear support of the majority of their party. They are still looking for every possible way to stop him. This party has left behind those who made its history so great: the people. And it is because of the GOP’s complete desertion of the voters that I am now supporting Donald Trump for President of the United States.
Let me be clear, I don’t support Mr. Trump’s past actions and many times I don’t support what comes out of his mouth, but I support Trump for President because I love the people of our country, and in a nation where government is to, for, and by the people, I will stand with the people, not by the political pundits who are leaving them behind.
